Regenerative Solutions

Placental-derived biomaterials are known for their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and low immunogenicity, making them ideal for use in medical applications. Research has shown that placental-derived biomaterials can be used to promote wound healing by providing a three- dimensional framework containing extracellular macromolecules such as collagen, elastin, fibronectin, laminin and matricellular proteins providing scaffold for tissue repair, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, facilitating cell migration, and promoting regeneration.

Placental Grafts

Placental grafts, also referred to as placental tissue allografts, have been utilized in medicine for over a century to address a wide range of conditions. These include open wounds, diabetic ulcers, burns, chronic wounds, and persistent wounds that resist closure. Additionally, they are used in surgical procedures and ophthalmology. Placental tissues possess unique properties that make them particularly effective for wound healing, such as:

  • Biocompatibility
  • Biodegradability
  • Low immunogenicity
  • Mechanical properties
  • Antimicrobial properties
  • Anti-inflammatory effects
  • Facilitation of cell migration
  • Promotion of regeneration

Ethical Tissue Collection

Grafts are collected from voluntary donations following scheduled cesarean deliveries of full-term births.
